About Ozzy J

With over 20 years experience in Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, John brings a deep and intuitive approach to yoga practise. His journey began in 1983 when he discovered Ashtanga, as a way to enhance his surfing strength and flexibility.

Over the years, he has explored the profound connections between movement, breath and mindfulness, integrating Zen, Qi Gong and Breathwork into his teaching. Yoga is not just about flexibility and physical strength - its a powerful tool to reshape and rewire our brain. Being aware of this wonderful dance between our brain and mind has profound effects on our wellbeing. Modern neuroscience shows that we can train the mind through stillness, breath and movement. Regular practice improves focus, eases anxiety and supports lifelong mental clarity. Breathwork calms the nervous system. Mediation rewires the brain for presence and resilience. With adjusting our body's language we can alter our minds state.

For John yoga is more than just a physical routine - it is a way to connect with nature, stay balanced and maintain a union between mind, body and spirit. At 60 John continues to evolve his understanding of wellbeing and mindfulness and loves to share the knowledge and energy of his practice.
